Our vision for the Ethno Botanic Garden and the Center for Environmental Culture is centered on the implementation of a cultural, social and environmental regenerative dynamic through landscape infrastructures based on on-site existing logics.
We proposed the Center for Environmental Culture as an attractor of meetings and activities around the environmental practice in Mexico. We understood the pavilion as a multi-use infrastructure that responds to the good weather in Mexico City, with a stepped roof that allows for outdoor public use and indoor spaces for exhibitions and events that might need a more controlled condition.
We propose materials that use gravels and soil present on site so that in conjunction with its formal expression, the pavilion tends to disappear.
