AMJ Restaurant

Mexico City, Mexico

Renovation project for a Japanese restaurant in open state of disrepair. The proposal provides a solution to the problems of current spatial ambiguity function and causing an impression of confusion and neglect. The inter- vention improves reading of the place from a defined circulation organizing the program. This open corridor space is introduced to the tables and sushi bar that differ from the rest by the continuous surface of wood that surrounds it. The front opens to take the connection to the Japanese garden that does not recognize the current draft. The project completely changes the spatial quality of the restaurant with accurate interventions that do not require major changes to the original structure.
