A water leak from the rooftop and the vibration of the structure are the beginning of this commission, which consists of proposing a new entrance to the house, a workshop-gallery for ikebana, and reimagining the living room and dining room. The proposal takes advantage of the existing Japanese garden to create a long-lasting entrance sequence in contact with the water and the japanese carps and uses the gallery as a vestibule. The living room and dining room are delineated by stainless steel cable walls, making the space both fragmented and free at the same time. Between both programs, a series of residual spaces serve as exhibition places for ikebana. We understood the project as an exploration on a shifted space-time relationship.
