Mexico City Dialogues

co-curator with Jose Castillo and Alejandro Hernández

New York, U.S.A.

2005

Exhibition sponsored by the Center for Architecture presents the work of twelve young architectural offices in Mexico City. Describes a group of architects rather than confront the realities of the trade. The first part offers an approach to Mexico City stating the conditions and processes that inform the conduct of architects. Using maps, photographs, a timeline, statistics, videos, events and publications, we try to generate an understanding of the city by the viewer.

The second part presents fifteen projects relying on a system of graphical images that relate to issues that had to be subverted, organized or redirected so that they can perform.
