Sarten House

Colorado, USA

2012

Wonderful scenery, steep terrain with a client and lover of outdoor activities are the main factors that inform design decisions. In order to maintain user-gravitational stress of being in the slope of the mountain and thus spatially connected with the situation where you are, the proposal combines three simple actions and strong: the house is embedded in the ground the roof keeps the same slope and the view opens around the perimeter of the plant

The entry sequence through a tunnel and then turn around and open the door to open land view serves as an introduc- tion to a subtle but deliberate relationship between interior and exterior.
