Master Plan AMJ

 Mexico Japan Association

Mexico City, Mexico

 2007

The proposal establishes a strategy of programmatic occupation for the area of unused train tracks. More than a cosmetic rehabilitation, it is an adjustable and flexible urbanism formed by an urban assembly that seeks to “conquer” new territories for citizens. Rethinking its historical symbolism, the road becomes the main element by transforming the train cars into public spaces, renewing the sense of belonging among the residents of the area. It is also an urban articulator that allows passengers to connect better at intersections.
